Honey
Honey is available for sale each year, first come first serve. Depending on the weather and health of the hives we
harvest somewhere between 500 – 1000 lbs of honey each year. I use the large frames in my supers which means I harvest later than some beekeepers. We normally start selling honey in September or October when we have collected and processed the honey and have a final tally of volume.

In 2009, the weather did not cooperate very well with Midwest beekeepers. This year, 2010 has been much more favorable to a stronger harvest with warm weather early driving a early spring flow and then hot humid weather for much of June and July in Wisconsin.
As an example of where honey prices can fluctuate based on availability, I have provided a chart of retail pricing from Bee Culture via National Honey Board.
First Place Fair Winner
Each year, the beekeeper, Laurent Soucie, enters jars of honey in the Lodi Ag Fair. We try and encourage all local bee keepers to enter a jar as
well so that the competition is varied. Luscious Laurent Honey has won first prize multiple years.

8 oz $3.50
